At the Cincinnati VA Medical Center, parking areas have been designated for visitors, employees and outpatients. Handicapped parking areas have been identified with posted signs and painted symbols on the ground. Outpatients and visitors may park in the parking lot sourrounding the facility and in the first two levels of the parking garage. Parking your vehicle is not permitted during your hospitalization.
Volunteers from the medical center voluntary service program provide free shuttle cart services from the exit of the parking garage and the parking lot to the front entrance of the facility. Shuttle services are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm for Veterans with outpatient appointments.

Red Coat Ambassadors wear a highly visible red vest and are located at at the medical center front entrance next to the information desk, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. These volunteers greet and escort Veterans, caregivers, family and visitors who are unfamiliar with the facility. They offer information and directions, provide tours of the 1st floor, lend a listening ear and help find solutions to your concerns. They provide a personal, yet standardized VA experience that includes assistance with navigation, helpful information and the necessary support to make your visit to VA not only successful, but also pleasant.
Fisher House provides high quality temporary lodging, at no charge, to families of Veterans who are undergoing inpatient or extensive outpatient treatment with the Cincinnati VA Health Care System. Caregivers must be medically stable, capable of self-care and live 50 miles or more from the Fisher House.
