Veterans Justice Outreach (VJO)

Veterans Justice Outreach (VJO)

Hours:  Monday-Friday 7:30AM-4:00PM

The purpose of the VJO initiative is to avoid the unnecessary criminalization and extended incarceration of Veterans with mental illnesses. We fulfill this initiative by ensuring that eligible justice-involved Veterans have timely access to VA mental health and substance abuse treatment when clinically indicated and to other appropriate VA services and benefits. The VJO initiative has three components: (1) education to stakeholder groups about Veteran services, (2) outreach to local jails to identify and assess justice-involved Veterans, and (3) referral, through Veterans Treatment Courts, to appropriate VA services.

For more information about services in the Veterans Justice Outreach, please contact us at (513) 977-6838.
