Florence Freedom Military Appreciation Night
June 7, 2018
On Wednesday, June 13 the Florence Freedom will be taking on the Windy City Thunderbolts while celebrating the service men and women who protect our great nation. Military Appreciation Night includes tickets for all military personnel and their families (active, retired and veterans) at no cost.
After placing your order for yourself, and your immediate family, you will pick up your actual game tickets at the UC Health Stadium & Florence Freedom Will Call outside the 3rd base gate. Please be ready to present your military ID at the time of pick up.
Game time: 5:35pm (doubleheader, two (2) 7-inning games)
Gates open: 4:35pm
Between games: Swear in ceremony of new military recruits & on-field recognition of all military personnel in attendance.
Game Location: UC Health Stadium, 7950 Freedom Way, Florence, KY 41042
Jerseys: Specialty jerseys will be worn by the Freedom players that night and auctioned off to the crowd. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the USO. Other military charities also have the opportunity to be in attendance that night.
PLEASE NOTE: When reserving your tickets, please only put down the amount you plan on ACTUALLY USING. Please DO NOT reserve tickets and then leave them unclaimed. We typically sell out this night every year, but often we have to turn military families away because individuals claim free tickets, but then don't show up to enjoy the game. We are thrilled to have you hear and look forward to hosting this game in your honor as a small token of our appreciation for your service, however help us get tickets into the military families that plan on attending.
Please visit the Cincinnati Vet Center and other Military and Veteran related groups at the game to obtain information and answer questions you may have. Your Vet Center may assist you and your family through many of the major adjustments in lifestyle that often occur after a Veterans return from combat. All Vet Center services are free of cost and are strictly confidential. If you are unable to make this game and would like to learn more, please visit the Vet Center at their new location, 4545 Montgomery Road or call your Vet Center at (513) 763-3500.
Combat and/or Non-Combat Veterans or a love one of a Veteran can also contact the Cincinnati VA Medical Center eligibility office at 513-475-6499 to find what health care benefits are available to them or for a Veteran love one. This call will take 15 minutes with one of the Medical Center’s eligibility specialist. Make this call today or come directly to the Medical Center eligibility office located on the first floor, behind the Information Desk just a few steps inside the main entrance. A phone call or visit to eligibility could be an experience that changes your life.
