Annual Veterans Day Salute, calling all Veteran Artists

Calling all Veterans who are artists, creative writers, or performers to contact the Cincinnati VA Medical Center’s Creative Arts program for the opportunity to share your creative arts at Memorial Hall on November 11th.  The exhibit will begin on November 11th and be on display until the 15th. No art work will be sold at the event.

Join the Cincinnati VAMC at Memorial Hall where they continue a century-long mission of honoring local veterans with a trio of entertaining and enriching programs, along with tasty eats from Eli’s BBQ.

Veteran Creative Arts Therapy Exhibition
11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Celebrate Veterans Day by viewing an exhibition of artwork created by local Veterans in the Memorial Hall Ballrooms. Featured artwork will include pieces created by veterans who have participated in the Creative Arts Therapy program at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center.
 
World War I and Cincinnati’s 147th Infantry
12:00pm – 1:00pm
US Army Colonel retired Todd Mayer speaks about the 100th anniversary of the World War I armistice, and the role of Cincinnati’s 147 Infantry regiment in that conflict
 
Queen City Concert Band Veterans Salute
2:00pm – 3:15pm
Memorial Hall’s longtime resident brass band presents their annual musical celebration of veterans, including patriotic and military selections. Reception to follow.
 
ALL events are free and open to the public.

The Cincinnati VAMC holds an annual Veteran Creative Arts Show the last Friday of February.
