MHA, FACHE, Director, Cincinnati VAMC
Mr. Mark Murdock was appointed the Medical Center Director at the Chillicothe, Ohio, VA Medical Center (VAMC) on September 4, 2017. Mr. Murdock served as the Acting Director for the Chillicothe VAMC since January 2, 2017. Prior to that, Mr. Murdock served as the Associate Director of the Dayton, Ohio, VAMC since March 10, 2013. From August 1, 2011 to July 9, 2012, Mr. Murdock served as Acting Associate Director of the Dayton VAMC. Mr. Murdock was appointed the Assistant Director of the Dayton VAMC on September 26, 2010.
His VA career has included assignments as Health System Specialist, Surgical Service at the Dayton VAMC; and as the Program Manager, VISN 10/11 Tele-Nurse Triage Program, Dayton, OH. Before coming to the VA, following retirement from active duty, he worked for private sector companies and government contractors in the healthcare industry.
Mr. Murdock retired as a Medical Service Corp (MSC) Officer from the United States Air Force in 1999. During his Air Force career, Mr. Murdock was assigned to Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton OH, Charleston AFB, SC, Misawa AB, Japan, and Aviano AB, Italy.
Mr. Murdock is board certified in healthcare administration by the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) in which he holds membership as a Fellow (FACHE), and is a member of the Greater Ohio Healthcare Leaders Forum (GOHLF). Mr. Murdock is also a graduate of the 2012 VHA Healthcare Leadership Institute (HCLI).
Mr. Murdock is a native of Sackets Harbor, New York. Mr. Murdock is a graduate of Park University with a B.S. in Healthcare Management and holds a Master's Degree in Health Service Administration from Xavier University, Ohio. Mr. Murdock and his wife, Stephanie, have four daughters.

Mr. Goins previously served in the VA as a VISN Supply Chain Officer in VISN 10, Assistant Medical Center Director at the Durham VAMC, and Facility Logistics Officer, acting Human Resources Officer and acting Fiscal Officer at the Chillicothe VAMC.
Mr. Goins is an OEF Veteran and a 10-year Navy Veteran, where he served as a Hospital Corpsman and a Medical Service Corps Officer; his duty stations included Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, Naval Hospital Portsmouth, Camp Stone, Herat Afghanistan, and Naval Station Newport. He earned his BA in Economics from Western Washington University and MBA in Operations and Process Improvement from The Ohio State University. He holds a black belt certification in Lean/Six Sigma and is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Chief of Staff
Dr Brill is an Army Veteran who spent 12 years on active duty as a physician in a number of leadership roles across assignments, including Texas, South Korea, and Germany.
Before coming to the Cincinnati VA, Dr Brill served as the COO of Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH. Prior to that, Dr. Brill held a leadership role in Surgical Services Administration at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL.
Dr Brill completed her undergraduate studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and earned her medical degree from The Pritzker School of Medicine at The University of Chicago. She was a recipient of ROTC and HPSP Army scholarships. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
After completing her military service, she earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and worked in health care consulting with The Boston Consulting Group before returning to hospital administration.
Dr. Brill is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. She is a recipient of the Army Commendation Medal.
Katheryn Cook | 513-475-6320
Katheryn Cook, RN was appointed as Associate Director of Patient Care Services on August 14, 2011. Prior to this position, Ms Cook was Chief Nurse of Medical/Surgical Services at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center. She received a Master's Degree in Nursing Administration from Bellarmine University and a Bachelor of Science from Northern Kentucky University.
Ms Cook has an extensive background in nursing administration. She serves on the Board of Directors for Gateway Community and Technical College and is a member of the Greater Cincinnati Health Council Patient Centered Care Committee.
She and her husband have five children and six grandchildren.
