Director, Cincinnati VAMC
Ms. Vivian Hutson was named as the Cincinnati VA Medical Center effective October 3, 2016. Ms. Hutson retired at the rank of Colonel from the U.S. Army Medical Specialist Corps after 30 years of honorable service and numerous awards and recognitions. She comes to the Cincinnati VA Medical Center from the U.S. Army Office of the Surgeon General. As the Director for Strategic Outreach for the past two years, she led a team to support integration and operationalization of key Army Medicine initiatives and programs that promote health readiness.
Prior to working for the Office of the Surgeon General, Ms. Hutson served as Senior U.S. Army Medical Officer in Japan and Commander of U.S. Army Medical Department Activity (MEDDAC). In this capacity she advised on medical operations and plans in support of contingency operations, synchronizing and integrating medical services, assuring the quality of health care to Army personnel and their families.
She is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and Board-certified in healthcare management.

Acting Associate Director
Jodi Cokl began her Federal Government career as a Military Police Officer in Heidelberg, Germany, and served as an Enemy Prisoner of War Specialist during Operation Desert Storm. Following her military service, Jodi began her VA career at the Allen Park, Michigan, VA Medical Center in 1995, assisting with the activation of Detroit's John D. Dingell VA Medical Center as a member of the Acquisition & Materiel Management team. After serving in various roles within Sterile Processing and Materiel Management, Ms. Cokl joined the former VISN 11's Lower Michigan Acquisition Center as a Contract Specialist, supporting VISN wide Prosthetics and Medical contracts, and construction contracts for the Saginaw VA Medical Center.
In 2003, Ms. Cokl joined the Dayton VA Medical Center team as the Chief of Purchasing and Contracting, and in 2005, she became the Network Contract Manager under the newly formed VISN 10 Network Contracting Office. Jodi has served as the VISN 10 Chief Logistics Officer since 2008, and just recently returned to that role after being detailed to VHA CO as the Healthcare Commodity Program Executive Officer to stand up the Med/Surg Prime Vendor Program in 2016.
Ms. Cokl holds a BS in Quality Management from Cleary University in Ann Arbor, MI, and a Masters in Business Administration from University of Phoenix, in Southfield, MI. She's a VHA certified mentor, holds a FAC-PPM Level III and COR Level II certification, and previously held a FAC-C Level III certification.

Chief of Staff
Dr. Elizabeth Brill was been appointed as the Medical Centerâ€™s Chief of Staff on May 1, 2016. Dr Brill is an Army Veteran who spent 12 years on active duty as a physician in a number of leadership roles across assignments, including Texas, South Korea, and Germany.
Before coming to the Cincinnati VA, Dr Brill served as the COO of Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH. Prior to that, Dr. Brill held a leadership role in Surgical Services Administration at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL.
Dr Brill completed her undergraduate studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and earned her medical degree from The Pritzker School of Medicine at The University of Chicago. She was a recipient of ROTC and HPSP Army scholarships. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
After completing her military service, she earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and worked in health care consulting with The Boston Consulting Group before returning to hospital administration.
Dr. Brill is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. She is a recipient of the Army Commendation Medal.
Katheryn Cook | 513-475-6320
Katheryn Cook, RN was appointed as Associate Director of Patient Care Services on August 14, 2011. Prior to this position, Ms Cook was Chief Nurse of Medical/Surgical Services at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center. She received a Master's Degree in Nursing Administration from Bellarmine University and a Bachelor of Science from Northern Kentucky University.
Ms Cook has an extensive background in nursing administration. She serves on the Board of Directors for Gateway Community and Technical College and is a member of the Greater Cincinnati Health Council Patient Centered Care Committee.
She and her husband have five children and six grandchildren.
