Baby Shower celebration to honor and support our Veterans
The Cincinnati VA Medical Center (VAMC) would like to invite all new or expectant Veterans, both male and female, with one invited guest to a Veteran baby shower.If you are a Veteran who has become a new parent in the past year, you are also invited.
The Veteran baby shower will take place on Wednesday, May 9th from 6 pm. to 8 pm in the Cincinnati VAMC Auditorium.
An RSVP is required to attend by May 4th, 2018. To RSVP please contact Shirley May, Women Veteran Program Manager, at (513) 475 -6890 or Tanya Early, LPN, Maternity Care Coordinator at (513) 861 - 3100 ext. 5390 to RSVP. You can also email vhacinwomenshealth1@va.gov to RSVP.
Our goal is to celebrate Veteran parents — especially moms — while also increasing awareness of VA’s comprehensive maternity care services and to encourage women Veterans to Choose VA to support their health and wellness goals.
Women make up approximately 10 percent of the Veteran population in the United States, and nearly half of the nation’s 2 million women Veterans are of reproductive age. VA offers comprehensive primary care, prenatal and preconception (pre-pregnancy) care, infertility services, maternity care services and the first seven days of newborn care.
Those that attend can expect food and games. There will be free giveaways and door prizes of gift bags and baskets along with one grand prize of $500 in gift cards and baby supplies!
This event is supported by First Quality, the Veteran Canteen Services (VCS) and the Cincinnati VA Voluntary Service program and women Veterans program.
