ATM Machines -
ATM machines are located in the front lobby of the
Vine Street entrance to the Medical Center.
Public Transportation - Metro bus
service offers a bus stop location at the Vine Street
entrance of the Medical Center. Refer to Metro bus
schedule for routes and times.

Fire/Disaster Drills
- Practice fire and disaster drills are held routinely
at the Cincinnati VAMC. If you hear the fire alarm,
stay calm and follow the staff instructions.
Food Court/Vending Areas
- The Food Court is located on the first
floor of the Medical Center and is open 7:30 a.m.
to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Selections
include: Country Cooking, 5th Avenue Deli, and Papa’s
Best Pizza, Vending machines with drink and food
selections are located on the first floor in the
Medical Center east of the entrance to the Food
Court, past the Canteen Retail store, down the hall,
left down hallway to last door on left. The vending
machine areas are open 24 hours a day, seven days
a week
Homeland Security
- Homeland Security guidelines require certain protection
measures to be taken. This includes limiting access
to the grounds and buildings.
The Doors to the
Medical Center are Open 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. After
hours access to Building 100 is through the doors
by the Emergency Room. The west gate (Vine Street
entrance) is always open. The south gate is closed
Monday – Friday after 5 pm, on weekends and
during Security Alerts.
Pets - Pets are
not allowed on VA property, except for service animals
or those involved in pet therapy programs sponsored
by Recreation Therapy. Do not leave pets in your
car.
Retail Store -The
Retail Store is located in the Medical Center and
is open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00
p.m., excluding holidays. The Retail Store sells
men’s and ladies’ clothing, electronics,
and personal items. The Retail Store also offers
a Special Order Kiosk located outside the Retail
Store where you can order specialty items (e.g.
automobile tires, shoes, and jewelry).
Smoking - The Cincinnati
VAMC is a smoke-free Medical Center. Smoking is
not allowed inside any building. There are designated
smoking areas located near the entrances of the
Medical Center.
Telephones - Pay
telephones are available throughout the Medical
Center. Please do not use cellular phones within
the Medical Center as they can interfere with vital
biomedical and patient care equipment.
Weapons - For your
safety and the safety of others, no weapons of any
kind are permitted on VA property. Persons entering
buildings on the Medical Center grounds consent
to the inspection of all packages, luggage and containers
in their possession. Refusal of consent to the inspection
is basis for denial of admission or entry onto VA
property.
