| The DRC Program
is a 13 week series of open-ended psychoeducational
groups for courtmandated, agency-referred,
or those voluntarily seeking ways to enhance
their relationship skills and stop abuse.
GOALS
1) Focus the primary goal to end the violent,
abusive and controlling behaviors.
2) Reduce and/or terminate partner and family
violence.
3) Hold abusers accountable for their behaviors.
4) Coordinate community provisions for the
safety of battered women and their children.
5) Interact with other agencies in the community
and work for change through social action
and VA/community education.
6) Identify referral patterns, sources and
build coalition support.
7) Improve patient satisfaction and overall
functioning.
8) Provide effective treatment in changing
behavior of abusers.
9) Provide ongoing program evaluation and
monitoring.
10) Provide post-program follow-up PROGRAM

The
Cincinnati VAMC is a member of the Ohio Domestic
Violence Network
(ODVN) and supports to their Batterer Treatment
Standards. Further, the DRC
is reentry approved by the Ohio Department
of Rehabilitation and Corrections (ODRC).
